Store Manager

Job Description:

Store Operations:
  • Completes all store operations as per company norms.
  • Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store.
  • Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal compliances.
  • Ensures that the interior and exterior of the store is maintained as per company guidelines.
  • Is responsible for the full operation of a retail store including opening, closing, staffing, exceptional customer service , cash and inventory.
  • Expectations are that 90% of business hours are spent on the sales floor greeting customers, coaching employees and running the business where it matters most—close to the customer.
  • Is responsible for scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
  • Has the ability to perform all duties at the store.
  • Maintains and utilizes surveillance.
  • Manages store revenue, including cash handling, deposit reconciliation and delivery of deposits to bank.
  • Implements and enforces established daily operating procedures to ensure store is clean, adequately stocked and well organized.
  • Maintains brand image standards.
  • Completes all reporting requirements in a timely manner as established by management.
  • Follows and enforces all Company Policies and established procedures in the store operations.
  • Reports and processes all employee and/ or customer incidents to reporting head.
  • Any other task assigned by management as per business requirements.
Sales:
  • Achieves financial and sales objectives;analyzing variances and initiating corrective action.
  • Achieves sales and “bottom-line” profits of the store.
  • Understands and takes responsibility for the store.
  • Maintains and studies statistics pertaining to store and sales teams.
  • Communicates, executes and manages merchandising.
  • Maintains funnel sheets and keeps track of each lead.
Towards Staff:
  • Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Effectively manages employee turnover. Provides a positive working environment and handles employee issues appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Encourages store employees to take ownership for their performance and career development plans; following up on a regular basis.
  • Ensures all are employee are aware of safety and emergency protocols. Creates a positive work environment, which is as important as creating a positive customer experience. Motivates, leads and trains a winning sales team. Gets to know team members – their strengths and weaknesses, aspirations and goals, background and experience – and uses that knowledge to help them.
  • Conducts role-plays with the team to help them sharpen their skills and learn to deal with challenging situations.
  • Ensures that required number of staff is qualified as per various Apple norms as communicated from time to time.
  • Ensures stability in his team.
  • Participates in goal setting with team members and drives them to achieve their targets.
  • Maintains and discusses sales statistics with the team.
  • Guides team members in the sales process.
Towards Customers:
  • Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
  • Resolves customer problems or complaints.
  • Provides exceptional customer service and ensures that employees also provide the same level of experience.
  • Provides answers to customer inquiries.
  • Is abreast with all affordability programs and other sales promotion schemes, which are run at the store and communicates the same to the customers in an effective manner.
