The Visual Merchandiser (VM) for Under Armour will be responsible for implementing and maintaining visual merchandising standards across multiple stores in the designated region. This role also involves analyzing sales data, understanding seasonal trends, and making informed ordering decisions to ensure optimal product assortment. The RVM will drive sales and customer engagement through effective and innovative visual displays.
Key Responsibilities:
• Visual Merchandising Execution:
- Implement the visual merchandising strategy for Under Armour stores in line with global and regional guidelines.
- Ensure that all visual displays, mannequins, windows, and in-store layouts are up to date,
- appealing, and reflect the current brand campaigns and promotions.
- Adapt and customize visual displays to suit the specific needs and demographics of each store, while maintaining brand consistency.
• Ordering & Product Assortment:
- Collaborate with the buying and merchandising teams to make informed ordering decisions based on seasonal trends and sales data.
- Ensure the right product mix is available in each store, considering regional preferences and customer demand.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with store managers to manage stock replenishment effectively.
• Trend Analysis & Reporting:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences to ensure the brand remains relevant and ahead of the curve.
- Create and maintain trend reports using Excel, analyzing sales data to understand what is selling and to forecast future trends.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve visual merchandising strategies based on trend analysis.
• Store Visits & Audits:
- Conduct regular store visits to ensure visual merchandising standards are being met and to provide support and guidance to in-store teams.
- Perform visual merchandising audits, providing feedback and action plans to store managers and the head office.
• Training & Development:
- Train and develop store staff on visual merchandising techniques and standards.
- Share best practices across the region, ensuring a high level of visual merchandising competence among store teams.
• Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with the marketing and store operations teams to align visual merchandising efforts with promotional activities and seasonal campaigns.
- Work closely with the buying and merchandising teams to ensure the right product placement and presentation.
• Project Management:
- Lead and execute visual merchandising projects, including store openings, remodels, and seasonal changeovers.
- Manage the planning and implementation of visual merchandising concepts, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Visual Merchandising, Fashion Design, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in visual merchandising, preferably in the sportswear, fashion, or retail industry.
Skills:
- Strong creative and artistic abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, with the ability to create and analyze trend reports.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and motivate teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel.
