Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnostics and Repair:
- Perform accurate diagnostics to identify issues with Apple devices.
- Repair or replace faulty components, including screens, batteries, and internal hardware.
- Troubleshoot software issues and perform necessary updates or reconfigurations.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all repairs meet Apple’s strict quality standards.
- Conduct post-repair testing to confirm that devices are fully functional before returning them to customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent contamination of devices.
- Customer Interaction:
- Explain technical issues and repair processes to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
- Provide estimates for repair costs and timelines.
- Educate customers on how to maintain their devices to prevent future issues.
- Inventory Management:
- Manage and maintain an inventory of repair parts and tools.
- Order replacement parts as needed and ensure timely delivery to avoid repair delays.
- Track and report inventory usage to the Service Centre Manager.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Document all repairs, including parts used, time spent, and customer interactions.
- Prepare reports on repair trends, recurring issues, and other relevant metrics.
- Maintain accurate records for warranty claims and repairs.
- Continuous Learning:
- Stay updated on the latest Apple products, technologies, and repair techniques.
- Attend Apple’s official training sessions and certification programs to enhance technical skills.
- Share knowledge and best practices with other technicians in the service centre.
Key Qualifications:
- Education: Degree or diploma in Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a technical repair role, preferably with experience in
repairing Apple products.
- Certifications: Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT) or Apple Certified iOS Technician (ACiT) is
highly preferred.
